Disney+ announced today that their original series Diary of a Future President has been renewed for a second season. The series, that launched on the streaming service on January 17, 2020, follows the adventures of Elena Cañero-Reed (Tess Romero) as she navigates the ups and downs of middle school on her journey to become the future president of the United States. Executive producer Gina Rodriguez will return in a recurring guest star role as adult Elena, the future President, with series regulars Charlie Bushnell (portraying Bobby), Selenis Leyva (portraying Gabi) and Michael Weaver (portraying Sam) returning as well.

The series, executive produced by Rodriguez, creator Ilana Peña, Keith Heisler and Molly Breeskin, has received a 10-episode order and will stream exclusively on Disney+.
